Textbook: Geometry, Holt McDougal $77.47
COURSE CONTENT: Geometry is a course designed to develop the geometric knowledge that can be used to solve a variety of real-world and mathematical problems. The content will include geometric constructions; terminology and fundamental properties of geometry; deductive and inductive reasoning and their application to formal and informal proofs; formulas pertaining to the measurement of plane and solid figures; coordinate geometry and transformations on the coordinate plane; exploration of geometric relationships such as parallelism, perpendicularity, congruence, and similarity; properties of circles; and right triangle trigonometry.
PREREQUISITE: Algebra 1, teacher recommendation
CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS:
· Be in your seats with work out when the bell rings.
· Raise your hand and wait to be recognized before you speak.
· ALL CELL PHONES NEED TO BE TURNED OFF DURING CLASS AND STORED IN YOUR BOOKBAG
